Roosevelt Independent School District provides a child-centered educational environment in which every student is individually valued. RISD is a small, innovative school district located 8 1/2 miles east of Lubbock, Texas, serving the communities of Ransom Canyon, Buffalo Springs, and Acuff. We are committed to educational excellence and opportunity for all students. RISD has small school advantages not available in other Lubbock districts.
